Amberations Fall Festival
Sunday, October 1
Mark your calendars for Amberations Annual Fall Festival, Sunday October 1, 1-6 pm. There is something for all ages and abilities to enjoy during our exciting fall festivities!
For those not familiar with this event, it boasts some of the finest local music around. It includes Kambuyu Marimba, a marimba ensemble rooted in the musical traditions of the Shona people of Zimbabwe. They play happy, percussive music that is rhythmic and meant for dancing. Bob Lyna will perform, he is well known for his driving vocals and his engaging, humorous stage presence. He sings classics from the 60’s to the present. The Perennials will play an eclectic blend of music from a variety of artists and include some traditional fiddling as well.
New this year is Sydney Irving, a 14 year old singer songwriter who plays guitar and ukulele. She already has her own CD, Hello Stranger, and has been performing publicly for about a year and a half.
For the first time ever there will be a chili cook-off! Interested contestants can contact Nancy Lee at 315.256.8196 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
