James MacArthur - President
James has been connected to Otisco Valley for his entire life and has a deep love of the outdoors. He brings a background of working with individuals of all abilities, mental health counseling, owning an aquatic business, and local volunteerism to Amberations. Spending time with his family on Otisco Lake, hiking, traveling and of course visiting Joe are among his favorite activities.
James is committed to ensuring the continuation and sustainability of Amberations, Mission: To offer a place to connect with nature where exploration, contemplation, and community thrive.
-
Gloria Wiley - Vice President
Gloria Wiley’s vision for the plot of land that hosts Amberations is what led to its inception almost twenty years ago. She credits countless volunteers, family and community members with keeping it going and believes the new board has what is needed to determine a plan for continued sustainability. Hearing people describe the magic they have discovered at Amberations is one of her greatest joys.
-
Jamie Kane - Treasurer
Jamie is a mother of two boys. She resides on Onondaga Hill and is currently the Director of Operations for a SaaS/IT company based in Florida.
Jamie enjoys nature, traveling, and spending time with her family, and is very excited to take on this role and assist with the growth and expansion of Amberations.
-
Jessica Albanese - Secretary
Jessie grew up in East Syracuse, but spent her summers in Otisco at her family’s camp. In 2017 she and her husband, Brian, put down roots in Otisco with their dog (named Tisco). They now live on the same lake property where the family camp was with their two boys, Hunter and Noah.
Jessie has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from SUNY Brockport and currently holds a position as the Director of Employee Benefits for Community Financial System, Inc. With almost 16 years in Human Resources, Jessie enjoys working with and helping others and hopes to bring her experience and passion to her role with Amberations.
Amberations is a means for her family, and the community as a whole, to get back in touch with the outdoors. To slow down and enjoy the simple things in life.
